Thanks! If you’d like more on Chinese food, we actually did a 7-part series from our 3 months of travel there – its on our website at uncorneredmarket

    6. umarket on January 29th, 2009 4:13 pm

We didn’t have any problem with food in China and we ate in streetside restaurants and in street stalls often.

Check out our 7-part food series from our travels in China – at uncorneredmarket

      enjoy

unfortunately, we didn’t learn enough Chinese language during our travels. a difficult language.

We ate a lot in China ( we are courageous eaters), but we couldn’t bring ourselves to eat dog.

They do it with nutella in more “westernize” part of china, like in Macau or in Taipei, it’s really delicious.

@umarket Liked the video, brought back many happy memories of our trip around China. Street food is ok , just look for the busy ones and use your common sense on what you observe.

@068694 Thanks! We really enjoyed the food throughout China — on the street, in little restaurants, wherever. We wrote about it extensively in a 6-part Chinese food series on our website, uncorneredmarket.

Just doing my homework on Myanmar which is our next trip. Once again food will play a major part. We draw limits to how adventurous we wish to be.
      Happy vacations.
      Happy eating.

@068694 We loved Myanmar. Spent a month there in early 2008. Another food-lovers heaven. Any questions about Myanmar or the food, send us a message on our website. Also, if you google “Top 15 dishes in Burma”, we should be #2 (our feed on Facebook is #1). Have fun!

Thanks for that. Will be in touch at a later date, i’m sure i have plenty to ask, infact I’m on a food site at this minute. Could be something due to the fact that I was a chef at sea for twenty two years

@PyroHeiko xi’an (or Xian) and Jinan are two different towns. Xi’an is where the warriors exhibit is. Jinan…different town. Enjoy and check out our 6-part Chinese food series on Uncornered Market.
